Check or Credit Card

Your donation gets to work the fastest when you make it in cash. A cash gift is also the easiest way for you to donate—and to accrue the tax benefits of a charitable contribution.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Search below to find out if your company has a matching gift policy.

Corporate or foundation gifts and grants

Lipscomb often partners with businesses and organizations that share our interests. We connect you with students to fill internships and job openings; researchers working on projects of significance to your group; and advisory boards that provide service opportunities. With a gift or grant to Lipscomb, you have access to carefully screened talent, cutting-edge thinking, and the means to fulfill your organization’s philanthropic goals.

Securities and real estate

A gift of securities or real estate will allow you to gain even more significant tax benefits than an equivalent gift of cash, especially if you’ve held the appreciated property for more than a year.

Stocks

Gifts of stock help us support our endowment, the investment portfolio we maintain to protect Lipscomb over the long-term.

Tangible property

If you’d like to contribute items of historic value, such as artwork, rare books or personal collections, we’ll be happy to arrange for their transfer.

Wills, bequests, and annuities

Many donors choose to remember Lipscomb in their estate plans. In addition to preserving your legacy, these gifts may allow you to minimize state and federal taxes. Give While You Shop

Lipscomb Academy has partnerships with several local retail stores including Kroger and Publix to help benefit our school when you shop. It’s easy to give to Lipscomb Academy while you are shopping for your family!

Kroger Community Rewards

The Kroger Community Rewards program has been in place for several years and provides a tremendous benefit to our school. By using a Kroger gift card to purchase your groceries, 4 percent of your purchase amount is given back to Lipscomb Academy. Signing up for Kroger Community Rewards is easy and can be accomplished through the following steps:

Sign in or create a Kroger Account: krogercommunityrewards.com
Link your Kroger Plus Card to your new account in “Account Settings” if you have not already
Hover over “Community” in the taskbar
Select “Community Rewards” in the drop down menu
Select “Enroll Now”
Search for “Lipscomb Academy”
Select our school and click “Enroll"

Publix Partners

Lipscomb Academy is enrolled in the Publix Partners program to benefit our school. If you shop at Publix, please visit the Advancement Office in Harding Hall (Room 102) to receive your card. This is a loyalty card that benefits our school and does not require registration. You simply have the cashier scan your card before totaling your purchase. Lipscomb will receive $500 for every $75,000 spent at Publix.

How does the school receive the financial resources needed to run Lipscomb Academy

Why does the school ask for contributions?

Tuition does not fully cover the expenses incurred by the school each year. As with most private schools, contributions are needed to meet our annual expenses, and to improve and add programs and facilities for our students. The Lipscomb Academy Annual Fund has been established to provide resources for academic and athletics programs, and facilities improvements throughout our Lower and Upper Schools.

Do most families give in addition to paying tuition?

Yes. Throughout the history of Lipscomb Academy, generous supporters have made annual gifts as well as gifts for comprehensive facilities improvement programs. This level of commitment is essential to meet our financial obligations, enhance and expand our programs and facilities and plan for future capital campaigns.

Ours is not a school built by a few wealthy families, but by many generous families who have given throughout the years. Your child is reaping the benefits today of donors whose children have long since graduated from Lipscomb Academy. These families sacrificed to ensure the successful future of Lipscomb Academy. Today’s families must continue and build upon this heritage of commitment.
