Making The Right Choice
To be sufficiently prepared for college, students must begin the groundwork as freshmen by seeking counsel from the right professionals and planning a four-year schedule to successfully apply to the appropriate college or university.
The Lipscomb Academy Academic and College Counseling Office shepherds students through the college admissions process giving them individualized support. Counselors empower students to assume responsibility for their post-secondary choices and strive to identify each student's trajectory, thereby, narrowing college choices to succinctly fit the individual. Through appropriate counseling and diligent work, academy students learn to articulate their aspirations and become attractive college applicants.
College Bound
We are so proud of all of our students and alumni. They have been admitted to some of the top schools in the nation. This is all due to their hard work and use of the resources we provide here at Lipscomb Academy.
My children have had a life changing experience at the academy. Their academic counselors are an image of patience and encouragement to ensure that every decision made is the best one for my child. Program Highlights:
Dual Enrollment
Lipscomb Academy juniors and seniors have the opportunity to step on Lipscomb University's campus and get ahead by gaining college credit and taking university-level classes.
College Fair & Senior Year Assistance
We are committed to ensuring our students feel equipt and ready to take on their next step of life. During their senior year with us we provide opportunities to make connections with colleges through our college fair as well as our senior year assistance program where we ensure all their needs are met and that they are on track with the college admissions timeline.
College Prep Testing
During our academic counseling meetings, each student will be assisted in creating their testing timeline that best suits their schedules. Testing opportunities at Lipscomb Academy include PSAT, AP, and ACT. However, other testing options are open to discussion.
Middle School Transition Meetings (Bridging)
We understand that the jump from middle school to upper school can be intimidating. Our Middle School Transition Meetings (Bridging) allows us to ensure every student feels confident and ready to take on the classes and course load of upper school.
