Winterim 2027

We will offer Winterim experiences at a variety of price points. Many experiences will be free. Higher costs are associated with travel experiences.

Yes. Winterim is required for students, and normal attendance policies apply.

Students with after school obligations will participate in a Winterim occurring during normal school hours.

11th and 12th grade students taking dual-enrollment courses are encouraged to select Winterim experiences that will allow them to still attend their university courses. Dual-enrollment students who would like to participate in Winterim trips should discuss their options with the academic counselors.

• Registration for Winterim trips begins in spring of the previous school year.

• Students will register for local experiences in September.

• For most experiences, selection priority will be given to seniors, followed by juniors, sophomores, and freshmen.

Some experiences are open to parents, while others are only for Lipscomb Academy upper school students. Parent participants of travel experiences complete a background check.

Yes, Lipscomb Academy offers several opportunities for students to travel throughout the year. These include mission trips, senior trips, and reciprocal visits with partner schools in other countries, giving students opportunities to experience new places, cultures, and communities.
