Academic Support

CollegeFair-199303.jpg

The Academic Support Program provides comprehensive academic resources, support, and services for students. The goals are for students to develop increased self-esteem, self-advocacy, and academic success by working with individual students to create a learning profile tailored to their academic strengths and goals. The Academic Support Program partners with students, families, and the school to ensure students are prepared to maximize their academic potential.

Tutoring

Tutoring is an additional fee service that is provided at Lipscomb Academy. Tutoring includes, year-round, subject-matter tutoring, reading comprehension strategies, math skills development, memory, and learning strategies. Group study sessions for midterm and year-end exams are also available. In addition to tutoring, we offer individual and group ACT preparation with ACT certified tutors and executive functioning courses using the SMARTS Curriculum. Tutoring takes place before, during, and after school and in some circumstances, in a virtual format. There is a $75 annual registration fee for these services. The cost for services vary. While not every student will require these fee-based services, every student could benefit from services offered by Equip.
